CPE - Customer Premise Equipment

Customer-premises equipment (CPE) is any terminal and equipment located at a business customer's premises and connected with a carrier's demarcation point (the "demarc").

The demarc location for any business is found within a company's phone closet.

CPE can generally refer to any type of telephones, routers, switches, and gateways that will enable a business to access their LAN and the Internet.
